# What happens after launch?

## Direct Answer

**Question:** What happens after launch?

**Short answer:** Two paths set at kickoff scope: clean hand-off to the agency team or maintained partnership on monthly retainer.

Two paths, decided at kickoff scope, not at the end of the project.

- **Hand-off to the agency or client team.** We package the build with documentation, deployment notes, environment variables, and a walkthrough session. Off-boarding is a defined step with named owners on each side. After hand-off, support is opt-in by retainer, not assumed.
- **Maintained partnership.** Monthly retainer that covers minor changes, priority bug response, dependency updates, and occasional small features. Senior team continuity stays. Larger work scopes separately as new engagements.

The choice is the agency's, and it is made before the build starts so post-launch expectations are part of the scope, not a renegotiation. We do not lock you into ongoing fees, and we do not disappear if you want continuity. Both sides of the engagement are explicit.

One thing we do not do: keep client systems running by holding the only access. Your team always has the keys to the build by the time it goes live.
